The addition of four-wheel drive to the Fortuner Legender, which was previously only available with two-wheel drive, is the most important modification. The Fortuner 4x4 comes equipped with low range, hill descent control, and a lockable differential.
Aside from the logo on the tailgate identifying Toyota's four-wheel drive technology, the 4x4 model is identical to the 4x2. The cabin is almost identical, with the biggest noticeable variation being the addition of the 11-speaker JBL audio system, which was previously available exclusively on four-wheel drive variants of the standard Fortuner.
The remainder of the features are the same as on the Legender4x2, including 18-inch alloy wheels, quad-LED headlights, sequential turn indicators, a motorised tailgate with hands-free opening, an 8.0-inch touchscreen, connected car technology, a wireless phone charger, and more.
All Fortuner models have seven airbags, ABS, stability control, hill start assist, and traction control as standard equipment.
